Brush fire spreads to Lawrence home, two people rescued and taken to hospital

LAWRENCE, Wis. (WFRV) - After an active fire on Wednesday morning in Lawrence, authorities have provided an update on the incident, saying two people were rescued and taken to a local hospital.
De Pere Fire Rescue assisted the Town of Lawrence Fire Department after a fire in the 2200 block of Mid
Valley Drive spread to a home.
The first crews to arrive around 5 a.m. on March 19 found smoke and flames coming from the home. During the immediate response, firefighters found two people still inside the home.

Both people were rescued and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions are reportedly currently unknown.
The fire was subsequently put out and the exact cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
