Baltimore man killed in MLK Jr. Ave. shooting in DC identified

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in D.C. have identified the man who was killed in a shooting in Southeast on Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened on March 18, around 11 a.m., in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said when officers arri
ved, they found 39-year-old Derrick Howard, of Baltimore, Md., unconscious with a gunshot wound.
Medics tried to save Howard, but he died at the scene.

As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
