, George “The Iceman” Gervin dropped 50 points on 21-31 shooting in a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
The game went into triple overtime and ended with a final score of 171-166.
Small forward Mike Mitchell also scored 45 points for the Spurs.
Under most circumstances, 95 points amounts to the lion’s share, but there was still 76 points scored outside of the dynamic duo that night.
There has never been a player like Ice, and there never will be. But beyond the hardwood, Gervin’s fingerprint can be seen throughout The Alamo City. From his schools to his community leadership, Gervin is a beloved member of the Spurs who made San Antonio is home.
