PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island state senate education committee will hear about a bill Wednesday that would add media literacy to school curriculum. The bill’s author, state senator Dawn Euer, said she was inspired by similar programs in Finland, and said in part: The ability to d istinguish the trustworthiness of a story, post, video or other piece of media is an essential skill to actively participate in our civic society.
