Good morning! Happy St. Joseph's Day! The weather today will be bellisimo! More good news...spring arrives tomorrow! Unfortunately, the weather won't be as nice tomorrow. We do have some rain ahead for tomorrow night, but the weekend looks okay. Those temps will rise quickly throught the morning, however, reaching the mid 50s by noon. Hour by Hour // A close look at the upcoming conditions » We'll have plenty of sunshine through the day with with a light northeast and easterly wind. Highs in the Providence area this afternoon will be around 60; but it could end up a little milder north and west of the city. In eastern Massachusetts and along the coast of Rhode Island, it'll be a bit cooler. | | BEACH AND BOATING FORECASTS TONIGHT Clouds will thicken overnight and low clouds, fog and mist will develop late in the night as southeasterly winds draw low-level moisture off of the ocean. Lows tonight will be in the 30s to lower 40s. TOMORROW Spring arrives at 5:01AM EDT Thursday. Unfortunately, the weather won't be great. We'll start with lots of clouds, fog and some mist... The fog/mist may lift, but clouds will hang tough through the day. Some breaks of sun are certainly possible, especially away from the south coast. Highs Thursdsay will be cooler...low 50s. LOOKING AHEAD A quick-moving weather system will be pushing through the area late Thursday night and Friday morning. We'll see rain (some heavy with a t'storm) before dawn on Friday. On the back side of the low, as it departs, some wet snow flakes are possible...especially north and west of Providence.
