Maryland leaders on hand at Frederick job fair for laidoff federal workers

FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now) -- Maryland Governor Wes Moore paid a visit to laid-off federal workers at a regional job fair Tuesday, hosted by the Frederick Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The state Board of Revenue Estimates predicted that 28,000 Marylanders will lose their jobs under the Trump ad
ministration.
Congresswoman April McClain Delaney, whose district includes western Maryland, joined the governor at the fair.

"We're trying to give as many resources as possible to those who lost jobs," McClain Delaney said. "They can have access to resources to help with crafting resumes, meet with the chamber of commerce and network through a support system."
She will also be hosting a town hall for displaced workers - from the federal government or otherwise - on Wednesday evening at Hood College. ...read more read less
