FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Those in Fresno County who wish to authenticate documents for international use but haven't been able to do so because of lack of time or travel expenses will now be able to do so without traveling hundreds of miles - but only for a day.
Fresno County officials
announced on Tuesday their partnership with the California Secretary of State's Office, which will allow them to host an Apostille Pop-Up Shop on March 25. The event will be held at the Fresno County Recorder's Office and will provide in-person apostille services for documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates and educational documents for international use.
An apostille is used to authenticate California public officials' signatures on documents to be used outside the United States of America, per officials. Organizers add a person would usually have to travel to Sacramento or Los Angeles to obtain an apostille.
The Apostille Pop-Up Shop will be at 1250 Van Ness Ave. in Fresno from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking will be free. ...read more read less
