MARIPOSA, Calif. (KSEE/KPGE) - The Mariposa Park playground is getting an upgrade for the first time in over 25 years, the county's parks and recreation department announced on Tuesday. The county's parks and recreation department says they will be closing the Mariposa Park playground for about t hree weeks. Officials say they will be removing the old play structure and installing new playground equipment. This will be the first time it is being replaced in over 25 years, the department added. The park's playground will be closed from April 21 until May 9 (dates are subject to change depending on the installation).
