(KRON) -- The Webster Tube will close two nights this week for maintenance, according to Caltrans. The underwater tunnel that carries traffic under the estuary from Oakland to Alameda will close on Wednesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 20. Both closures will be in effect from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. This week's closures follow a similar closure last Thursday. The tube will remain open during daylight hours throughout the week. Changeable message and detour signs will be placed in the area to assist drivers in finding alternate routes.
