North Greenville Elementary placed on lockdown after hitandrun suspect parks nearby, flees around back of school

GREENVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - A 27-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested on several charges Tuesday morning about an hour after a hit-and-run crash in the area of State Highway 76 and 15.
According to the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office, Joshua Lee Howard of Hortonville was identified as the suspect
who was involved in the hit-and-run incident and fled the scene.

He reportedly fled northbound on State Highway 76 and turned onto County Highway JJ. Howard's suspect vehicle was seen pulling into an area near Greenville Elementary School, and fled the scene on foot after parking.
He ran around the back of the school into a wooded area, which resulted in a precautionary lockdown to ensure student and faculty safety.

Several agencies sent officers to the area, using drone and K9 resources to find Howard, who was taken into custody around 11:39 a.m. close to a home nearby.
