NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Very mild air with temperatures way above the freezing mark for nearly all as high as the low 70s in south New Mexico but as low as around or below freezing in the San Juan Mountain communities, with low humidity values accompanied by persistent southerly to westerly winds, are already in place across the region; as despite very-fast passing clouds with some high-elevation light snow in the north mountains, the big story will be the blowing dust that will accompany the higher fire threat later today with the next storm system approaching the Four Corners later this morning as temperatures will drop later this afternoon after the Pacific front moves through.
