Karen Read prosecution questioning accident reconstruction firm relationship to defense

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Karen read is due back in court Tuesday for a motion hearing ahead of her second trial which is scheduled to begin April 1.
Both sides in the case are debating potential witnesses for the trial with the prosecution raising more questions about the relationship and some co
ntested witnesses including the firm, ARCCA.
According to Boston station WCVB, the latest filing Monday from special prosecutor Hank Brennan said the defense’s relationship with the accident reconstruction firm is “not impartial, or unbiased.”
Brennan said he has photographs showing an ARCCA witness at a private luncheon speaking to Read’s father.
Read is accused of hitting and killing John O’Keefe with her SUV.
During the first trial, an ARCCA employee suggested the damage to Read’s car was not consistent with hitting a pedestrian.
The witness also testified O’Keefe injuries were also not consistent.
