Firefighters battle 720acres blaze in Green Lake County's White River Marsh

GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters are battling a 720-acre wildfire in the White River Marsh State Wildlife Area in Green Lake County.
Dubbed the Big Island Fire, the blaze ignited around 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fire crews have managed to hold the fire to the south side of County Road D

Wisconsin man hospitalized after shooting, no arrests
Two residences have been evacuated, and six structures remain threatened, though none have been lost. No injuries have been reported.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is on the scene alongside ten local fire departments and law enforcement agencies.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities confirmed that no DNR-approved or private prescribed burns were in the area at the time of ignition. The fire is currently burning on both state and private land.
