Essential info for NCAA attendees at Intrust Bank Arena

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Thousands of basketball fans will be in Wichita this week for NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship rounds one and two. If you plan to join them, Intrust Bank Arena has some advice to help it go smoothly.

You can watch the teams practice for free on Wednesday. The games will be played on Thursday and Saturday. Tickets are on sale through Select-A-Seat.
How to take part in NCAA excitement in Wichita
Hours
Wednesday - Doors open at 10 a.m. Practice times are:
11 a.m. – SIU Edwardsville
11:45 a.m. – Houston
12:30 p.m. – Georgia
1:15 p.m. – Gonzaga
2 p.m. – Drake
2:45 p.m. – Missouri
3:30 p.m. – UNCW
4:15 p.m. – Texas Tech
Thursday - Doors for Session 1 open at 11:30 a.m. The door opening for Session 2 will be decided after the conclusion of the Session 1 games.
Session 1:
1:00 p.m. – (16) SIU Edwardsville vs. (1) Houston
3:35 p.m. approximately – (9) Georgia vs (8) Gonzaga
Attendees of Session 1 must leave Intrust Bank Arena at the end of Session 1, even if they have a ticket for Session 2. The arena needs time to prepare for Session 2.
Session 2:
6:35 p.m. – (11) Drake vs. (6) Missouri
9:10 p.m.* – (14) UNCW vs. (3) Texas Tech
Fans who arrive early for Session 2 are encouraged to visit nearby bars and restaurants until Session 1 ends. Those who want to wait at Intrust Bank Arena will be instructed to line up in designated areas.
Fans will not be allowed to gather near the entrance until the guests from Session 1 have left the building.
Saturday - The NCAA will set the tipoff times following the end of all first-round games at all sites on Thursday. The doors will open 90 minutes before the first game's tipoff.
Parking and shuttle service
Organizers say you can click here to find an interactive parking map for Intrust Bank Arena. The arena encourages people to follow its X account @INTRUSTarena for real-timeparking updates.
Rideshare and hotel drop-offs and pick-ups will be at 250 N. St. Francis.
The map below shows parking lots, garages, street closures, the hotel shuttle and rideshare drop-off location, and the Q-LINE shuttle service.

Road closures include Waterman between Mead and Emporia, St. Francis from Douglas to William, and Emporia from Waterman to William. These streets will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
Q-LINE shuttle service
The Q-LINE shuttle service will be available for free Wednesday through Saturday. It will run approximately every 15 minutes along Douglas Avenue, from Walnut Street to Edgemoor St., 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Find a Q sign on the route you want to ride or wait at a transit shelter along Douglas Avenue. Allow riders to exit before boarding the trolley. Pull the cord along the window about one block before your desired stop to stop the trolley.
Free Park & Ride shuttle – March 20 & 22
The free Park & Ride shuttle will pick up at Wichita East High School, 2301 E. Douglas Ave.
Hours: Runs two hours before tipoff and one hour after the final game on Thursday and Saturday.
For the free practice day on Wednesday, March 19, the Park & Ride will run from East High to Naftzger Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Downtown drop-off/pick-up: Naftzger Park (North side) until 9:30 p.m.; after 9:30 p.m., pick-ups will be at the Wichita Transit Center.

Important details
Security: Each attendee must pass through a walk-through metal detector. Click here for a list of prohibited items.
Bags: The arena enforces a clear bag policy. Each ticketed guest can carry one large clear bag—either a one-gallon plastic storage bag or bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 14" x 6" x 14"—plus a small clutch or purse that does not exceed 5.5" x 8.5".
Cameras: The arena says small point-and-shoot cameras and video recording devices are OK, but 35mm and detachable lens cameras are not.
