GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 33-year-old Greene County man has been arrested after allegedly downloading images involving children, which have been described as sexual in nature, authorities said. According to the Greene County Sheriff's Office, its Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit re ceived information about an individual from Greene County who allegedly downloaded images described as sexual in nature and involving juveniles under the age of 18. Through the course of an investigation by the sheriff's office's ICAC, 33-year-old Steven Kyle Edward Smith, of Madison County and Ruckersville, was identified as a suspect. The sheriff's office's ICAC then executed a search warrant in Madison County on Friday, March 14 at the temporary place of residence of Smith, who was not home when authorities arrived. Soon after, officials said Smith was found in the town of Culpeper and arrested. According to the sheriff's office, Smith was charged with the following felonies in Greene County: Possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation and facilitation of child pornography Taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in custodial or supervisory relationship He has been held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail, according to officials.
