BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Police responded to a crash that left a motorcyclist dead in Bloomington last week. Officers with the Indiana University Police Department were called on March 13 around 9:40 a.m. to IN 45 /46 Bypass and 17th Street in response to reports that a serious crash had occurred in the area. IUPD confirmed the crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported from the scene to an area hospital where he later died. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police as they investigated the crash. As of this article's publication, the Monroe County Coroner's Office has not identified the deceased individual. The driver and the motorcyclist are not associated with Indiana University, IUPD said.
