Help the City of Colorado Springs stay on top of potholes
Mar 17, 2025
(COLORADO SPRINGS)— Pothole season is upon us, and the City of Colorado Springs wants the community to know that they can help stay on top of potholes that need filling.
"There are three ways to report a pothole," said Corey Farkas, Manager of Public Works and Maintenance Operations for the Cit
y of Colorado Springs. "You can call 35-Road, you can get online on our website and report a pothole, or the best way to go is to use the GoCOS! app."
The app allows you to quickly fill out a request, upload a photo with the marked location of the pothole, and then the City will fill the requests based on the severity of the pothole.
"We ask for as much information as we possibly can get when folks are reporting those potholes, because we want to prioritize the dangerous potholes above a smaller pothole," said Farkas. "So if we've got a pothole that's in the drive lane, it's going to swallow a Volkswagen... We want to get that filled as quickly as possible."
The City will fill the potholes using a temporary fix to get through the winter, and then come summer, thanks to the 2C road improvement tax approved last election, fix the roads more long term.
