Gunshot Fired As Suspect Returns to Steal Another Vehicle at South Lincoln Home

Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Mar. 17)–The search continues for a missing 2015 GMC Acadia, which was stolen sometime just before 8am Sunday from a driveway in the area of South Cotner and Normal Boulevard.
Lincoln Police Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says
the victim reported that keys to his wife’s Kia were in the GMC making him think the suspect may return to steal the other vehicle. About 45 minutes later, the suspect returned, trying to steal the Kia. The victim chased after him on foot, as the suspect drove off in the stolen GMC.
The victim was armed with a handgun and a witness reported hearing a gunshot fired.
