FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A mudslide has forced the closure of US-25, also known as Lexington Road, near the Fayette County line.
The White Hall Volunteer Fire Department announced late Sunday night that the road is closed in both directions near the Boone’s Trace subdivision and
the one-lane bridge due to debris blocking the roadway.
Drivers looking to bypass the closure may need to travel further along I-75 before reconnecting with US-25 on the other side.
Officials have not provided an estimate for when the road will reopen. ABC36 NEWS NOW has reached out for more details and will provide updates as they become available.
