COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – One person is dead and another injured after a two-car collision in east Columbus late Sunday night.
According to Columbus police, officers responded to the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Minerva Avenue in the Minerva Park neighborhood at 10:18 p.m. Found were two
cars that had collided head-on, with two people injured at the scene.

Police said a gray Hyundai Elantra was traveling south on Cleveland Ave. before veering left of center and struck a tan Honda Odyssey, which was heading north. Melany Devore, 30, was taken to an area hospital but died at 11:05 p.m. The other driver was also hospitalized and treated for minor injuries.
It was the second of three fatal crashes that occurred on the east side of the city within a 10-hour period.

Earlier Sunday a seven-year-old child was killed after falling out of an SUV and was then run over. Following the Cleveland Avenue crash, one person died Monday morning in a crash on Interstate 70 in east Columbus. ...read more read less
