WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Get excited- the District's iconic pink cherry blossoms are one step closer to peak bloom. In a post on the X platform Sunday, the National Park Service announced that the blooms are now at the "Florets Visible" stage, meaning larger green florets are now visible on t he cherry trees along the Tidal Basin. The District's iconic cherry blossoms have reached stage two of six, according to an announcement from the National Park Service on Sunday, March 16.
