ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) -- Ashland Dance Academy blended dancing with dads this weekend as they hosted their fifth annual "Bring Your Dad to Daddy to Dance" class Saturday, March. 15. According to Ashland Dance Academy, dads weren't the only ones in attendance-- Over 100 grandpas, uncles, stepdads, and brothers also attended the class along the dancers. Photo Courtesy of: Colette Maranda The Ashland Dance Academy got its start after owner Colette Maranda said, "I once heard a dad say he didn't want the first time he danced with his daughter to be at her wedding, so once I opened ADA in 2020, I made a vow that daddies would be dancing with their girls every year!" The one hour dance session didn't only feature dancing but it also featured games after the end of class performance.
