We started off the weekend with rounds of showers and thunderstorms. It was also a very windy day on Saturday. Check out the top wind gust reports below.
It was a very windy Saturday across the area.
It has still been windy today, but top gusts have only been around 30 mph. The bigger story has
been the much colder air. Take a look at just how much colder it is outside when you compare 5 PM Saturday to 5 PM Sunday!
Look at the big temperature change over 24 hours this weekend!
Some nuisance rain/snow showers will continue this evening before tapering off overnight. Winds and clouds will also be decreasing once the precipitation comes to an end.
Precipitation ends, but clouds linger this evening.Clouds do decrease though overnight.
By daybreak Monday, we'll be down in the 20s with mainly clear skies in place. A few patches of fog are also possible to get the day started. You'll want to bundle up as you get ready to go back to work or school.
We're in the 20s by daybreak Monday, with perhaps some patches of fog around.
We'll be sunny Monday morning to begin our St. Patrick's Day, but we will track a wave of cloud cover to move overhead during the afternoon and evening. No precipitation will occur though and we'll see high temperatures rebound into the upper 40s...not too bad for the holiday!
After a sunny Monday morning, clouds return during the afternoon.Highs Monday reach the upper 40s at most.Clouds decrease again then into Monday night.
We'll continue to warm back up, with highs in the 60s on both Tuesday and Wednesday!
This warmth is ahead of our next system, which will also kick up the winds yet again. Look for a round of showers and storms to occur late in the day Wednesday, with temperatures falling into our Thursday. Some lingering rain/snow will stick around Thursday morning before the system exits and high temperatures will only reach the lower 40s...certainly not a spring-like start to the season! Stay tuned for updates as details regarding this system become more clear in the coming days.
