COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A boy is dead after police said he fell out of an SUV on Columbus’ east side Sunday afternoon.  According to a Columbus police dispatcher, officers responded to a pedestrian struck call in the area of East 5th and St. Clair avenues just before 3:30 p.m. At the scen e, officers found the child -- a 7-year-old boy.   The child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.  According to Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua, several children were riding in the backseat of an SUV when the door opened and the boy fell out. Police do not know which vehicle then hit the child. The driver of the SUV was arrested on an unrelated warrant, Fuqua said. There is no other information available at this time.
