MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — Two 17-year-olds from Mandan sustained minor injuries, while a third 17-year-old was seriously injured in a crash.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 10:18 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 on Morton County Road 83, just north of 35th Street.
On
e of the 17-year-olds was driving a Nissan Titan north on the gravel road and failed to negotiate a curve, causing the car to enter the ditch and overturn.
The driver and one passenger were not wearing seatbelts, while the second passenger was wearing their seatbelt.
All three of them were brought to Sanford Medical Center to be treated.
The driver was arrested for criminal vehicular injury while operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
The crash is being investigated by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
