Wind advisory affecting San Bernardino County Monday and Tuesday

San Bernardino County was placed under a wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 1:01 a.m. The advisory is valid from Monday 8 a.m. until Tuesday, Mar. 18 at 11 a.m.
According to the NWS Las Vegas NV, “West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds w
ill blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Strong winds and waves will make for dangerous boating conditions on Lakes Mead and Mohave,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft.”
