It was certainly a windy Saturday, with even some strong thunderstorms during the day for some. Check out the top wind gust reports from yesterday below. It was a very windy Saturday across the area. The good news is that while we may see lingering rain chances today, and perhaps a snow flurry or two, we are not expecting any thunderstorms, and it will certainly not be as windy today, with gusts only up to 30 mph. Although gusty at some times, it will certainly not be as windy as Saturday. Showers linger before daybreak as a cold front is passing by. This has brought temperatures in the 40s to start Sunday. Unfortunately, the daytime only gets colder than our overnight, as westerly winds filter in colder air under cloudy skies. More chances for scattered rain showers return to start the afternoon, and as we progress through it, by mid-to-late afternoon, a few non-accumulating snow showers look to mix in. Temperatures tumble into the 30s in the afternoon. Winds lighten significantly overnight and skies turn mostly clear into daybreak to start Monday. Sunshine will rule the lands of the region for the morning, with partly cloudy skies moving in for the afternoon. Highs also return to the 50s, and winds stay calm. Not a bad start to the workweek. Highs in the 60s return on Tuesday and Wednesday. Windy moments return on Wednesday as another weather system passes by. Although not looking to be as windy as Saturday, gusts up to 30 mph will be possible. That is also when our next rain/storm chance arrives. Sunday: Cloudy with occasional rain and snow showers.
