ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The 2025 class 1A boys basketball championship was a 1 vs 2 matchup between Logan and Melrose. The Longhorns won 56-44. 2025 high school basketball state tournament brackets Logan took advantage of its size advantage in nearly every statistical category. Th e Longhorns won the rebounding battle 47-34. They racked up 17 offensive rebounds which resulted in 23 second half chance points. 38 of the team's points came in the paint. They also racked up 6 blocks. Hayden Bruhn led the game in multiple statistical categories including points (23), rebounds (16), assists (6), steals (4) and blocks (3). "Our word of the week, or the word of the year coming into the state tournament was mindset," said Logan head coach Kyle Griffiths. "We preached to the guys that if we have the right mindset, nobody can beat us. I feel like we stepped on the floor tonight with that mindset and we came out victorious just like we planned."
