y afternoon. While there is a slight chance of showers through the day, rain is expected to develop Sunday night as a cold front enters the region. This cold front will be slow-moving and bring not only rounds of heavy rain, but also the chance of thunderstorms as well. Monday will be mild with highs in the 50s and rainfall totals by days’ end will be likely 1-2 inches. This amount of rain will mean localized urban flooding and rivers that are easy to flood like the Wood River at Hope Valley will be vulnerable and may be pushed to action levels, the stage before minor flood. Rain winds down Monday night and clears for Tuesday. Midweek looks marvelous with mostly sunny skies and temps topping in the 50s both Tuesday and Wednesday. Spring begins Thursday at 5:01 am and the weather will be mainly cloudy with rain arriving in the evening with another cold front. This one won’t bring nearly as much rain but it will drop temperatures to more seasonable levels for Friday and Saturday. For us, that’s lows near 30 and highs in the upper-40s.
