Oklahoma's top attorney reminds residents price gouging is illegal

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - With a declaration of emergency by Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt one day after devastating high winds and wildfires, the Attorney General is reminding residents about the Emergency Price Stabilization Act.
This means businesses cannot increase prices more than 10 percent for g
oods and services.
The price gouging statute is being implemented for 12 counties impacted by the fires.

“Oklahoma consumers reeling from the wildfires can be assured they will be protected from unfair price hikes and fraud,” he said.
