The Latest from Storm Team 5...
Needed to hold onto your hats out there today! The story was winds gusting over 40mph in many locations south of Green Bay this afternoon. Otherwise, temperatures did briefly reach the 60s earlier today, but we have been cooling down since around the lunch hour.
For tonight, we will remain cloudy and breezy as winds will still gust around 20-25mph out of the NW. Lows fall into the upper 20s and low 30s tonight.
A surface low will develop and deepen off to our southeast late tonight and as it does so, it will throw our way some precipitation. With temperatures below freezing, it will fall as light snow, primarily for the Green Bay & the Fox Valley over to the Lakeshore. Minor amounts of under 1" for most, but areas that could pick up around or slightly over 1" will be Manitowoc, Sheboygan and over to Fond Du Lac
Likely anything that manages to stick will melt as sunshine returns in the afternoon. Highs manage the upper 30s and low 40s on Sunday. You thank a NNW wind that will gust around 30-35mph for the change in airmass.
Winds ease back Sunday night, only to pick up again Monday. Thankfully, this will be a warmer wind direction, so highs will likely get into the 50s away from the bay and lake, where highs will sit in the 40s. All will see a mix of sun and clouds.
Tuesday will be milder and quiet with highs surging into the 50s and 60s. This is out ahead of another Spring storm that will be worth keeping tabs on. It will likely start as rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, turning over to wet snow Wednesday afternoon and evening.
