Copeland Elementary School to host Women’s History Month Celebration

Dr. Crosby Copeland Jr. Elementary School hosts a Special Women’s History Month Celebration on Thursday, March 27.
Organized by Erica Hundley, a first grade teacher, and LaToya Wiley, a third grade teacher, along with the support of music teacher Azhaneet Blackwell, the event provides a two-part e
xperience from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The “Empowering Women of all Ages and Celebrating Unsung SHEroes” celebration features a Women’s Fair during the first hour, including information about various topics along with resources to support women empowerment.
“We have partnered with The Links Incorporated and many other community organizations to present information and materials about Health & Wellness, Self-Care, Financial Literacy, Mental Health, Empowerment through Reading, and much more,” explained Hundley.
Organizers invite guests to visit all tables, where there will be short presentations, demonstrations, and distribution of important resource materials.
The second hour of this event includes dinner and student performances. Students will honor the achievements, resilience, and contributions of important women throughout history to inspire future generations of female leaders.
Families, students, and community members are invited to attend this educational, empowering, and inspiring event.
