Recognizing K9’s who serve INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every week, “Pet Pals TV” shares a fun, interesting, and informative story about our-four legged and furry friend population. On the latest “Pet Pals TV,” host Patty Spitler spent time to remember canines who served in the line of duty. After retiring from either the military or the police, service dogs still need a home and loving family. Other dogs that serve aren’t lucky enough to retire. So a non-profit organization was created to help dogs that take of retired police dogs in the U.S. Few programs help retired dogs as they transition from service to civilian life.
