North Carolina woman charged with attempting to kill juvenile with bat, warrants show

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Raleigh woman is facing two felony assault charges, including one against a juvenile last month, warrants show.
According to warrants filed by the Raleigh Police Department, both incidents happened on Feb. 3. The suspect, 34-year-old Kaliah Monique McKoy, was arrested T
hursday.
Warrants show McKoy is accused of swinging a baseball bat at a juvenile's head while chasing after him in a car. She also threatened to kill the juvenile's brother.

During McKoy's court appearance Friday, prosecutors said the incident happened after a basketball game at Ligon Middle School.
In the second incident, the warrants show McKoy is accused of attempting to kill another victim with an SUV.
McKoy is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, communicating threats (two counts), and second-degree trespass in connection with the bat incident. She is charged with another count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in the SUV incident, according to the warrants.
The warrants do not say if the two incidents happened at the same location or are connected.
According to court records, McKoy was not given bond. Prosecutors said McKoy has a total of 26 charges against her. ...read more read less
