CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire at a business in Uptown on Saturday morning.
It’s happening in the 300 block of East Morehead Street. That’s near the former Morehead Tavern location.
Around 8 a.m., Charlotte Fire said smoke was showing upon arrival and t
hat a second-alarm had been struck.
Firefighters are working to control the blaze. No injuries were reported, Medic said.
CMPD said that East Morehead Street is closed from Euclid Avenue to South Tryon Street. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
