BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Cheektowaga man has been arrested and charged with attempted sex trafficking and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, the U.S. District Attorney's Office announced.
Darryl Lamont Paul, 59, is accused of attempting to sex traffic a 19-year-old woman.
The U
.S. District Attorney's Office also alleged that Lamont has had a longstanding relationship with Peter Gerace, the convicted owner of Pharaoh’s Gentlemen’s Club. Lamont and Gerace allegedly shared employees for their businesses.
According to the U.S. District Attorney's Office, Lamont owned an entertainment company that provided nude dancers and topless bartenders for parties. Officials said in July 2024, Lamont invited the woman to audition for his company, where "Lamont instructed the victim to strip completely naked so he could inspect her body. After her audition, Lamont invited the victim to 'shadow' at stag party, where she observed two dancers engaging in sexual activity with each other."
It is alleged that after Lamont arranged for an audition for the 19-year-old woman at a local strip club, he took her back for "training," where Lamont allegedly forced the victim use cocaine and drink alcohol.
According to the victim, Lamont said working for him would make her a lot of money and that he knew many important people, officials said. He also allegedly claimed to know the victim's family members' names.
He then allegedly had the 19-year-old sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Lamont is scheduled to have a detention hearing on March 18. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life.
