NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—Heavy rainfall has caused a flash flood warning for Natchitoches Parish, resulting in significant storm damage. According to Shreveport's National Weather Service, the flash flood warning began at 9:23 a.m. and was effective until 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Shreveport's
National Weather Service recorded wind speeds moving across Natchitoches at 55 mph. Significant storm damage was reported in the 1900 block of Fish Hatchery Road. A farm shop reportedly received heavy damage and power lines in the area went down.

The sheriff's office also reported at 10 a.m. this morning that two vehicles crashed on I-49 southbound near milepost #140 just north of Natchitoches. There were no reported injuries.
NPSO stated, "If you are traveling through the area, slow your speed, avoid distractions and pay attention to the road. There may be a delay."
The Shreveport National Weather Service reported "some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Natchitoches, Campti, Montgomery, Provencal, Natchez, Clarence, Robeline, Atlanta, Bermuda, St. Maurice, Melrose, Cypress, Flora, Cloutierville, Grand Ecore, Bellwood, Clear Lake, Hagewood, Aloha and Kisatchie."
