MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Tornado and severe weather alerts are active Saturday morning in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. An Enhanced Risk (Level 3/5) and Moderate Risk (Level 4/5) for severe weather is in place for northeastern Mississippi on Saturday. There will be waves of storms through the day that could produce damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. Another threat will be heavy rainfall. Rainfall amounts of 2-5" are possible, with locally higher amounts in spots. This may cause flooding issues where the rain comes down very heavy in a short amount of time. Our weather pattern will turn much more quiet on Sunday as cooler and drier air settles into the area. We'll be smooth sailing through early next week.
