A Couple of Kids Farm
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every Saturday, WISH-TV highlights a local company together with our partners at Indiana Grown.
This week, A Couple Kids Family Farm joined to share their four year journey from suburban life to farm life.
The family, which includes t
wo young boys, has embraced farming with a passion – particularly when it comes to goats. Their herd has a special place in their hearts, with their kids (baby goats) being a key part of their growing farm business.
The journey began in 2020 when the couple, both with a deep love of farming and agriculture, left their suburban roots behind to chase a dream. Their oldest son’s sensitivity to cow’s milk played a big role in their decision to focus on alternative milk products. After acquiring their farm and a few goats, they made the natural decision to start producing and selling goat milk products, which has also helped offset costs for feed and hay, bringing the farm closer to self-sustainability.
Today, A Couple Kids Family Farm has expanded its reach and product offerings. Their homemade products are now available at Handmade on Main in Sheridan and Olde Thyme Mercantile in Kokomo. Local deliveries and driveway pickups are available, and the family is planning to open a farm market stand later this year.
