PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. — The high school softball season got underway on Friday afternoon and it was Council Rock South coming out strong with an 8-2 victory at Plymouth-Whitemarsh. A state finalist last year in Class 6A, Rock South has returned an outstanding pitcher in Lexi Waring and the senior came out firing with a seven-hitter and 10 strikeouts.
