3 Santa Fe teens arrested for shooting, causing crash

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Three Santa Fe teens were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center for shooting a gun and causing a crash, police said.
Officers responded to the Cottonwood Mobile Home Park for a call about shots that were fired Wednesday night.
Police learned three teen suspect
s, one age 15 and two age 16, fled the scene in a vehicle and caused a crash that injured one person.
Members of the Santa Fe Fire Department who responded to the crash told law enforcement the three teens also fled the crash scene.
Santa Fe County Sheriff’s deputies who were also responding were able to find the teens and took them into custody.
Police said one of the teens was found in possession of a gun and another teen was found in possession of the keys to the crashed vehicle.
They were charged with aggravated assault, child abuse, shooting at an occupied dwelling, shooting at or from a motor vehicle, receiving/transferring stolen property, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, immediate notice of accidents, duty to render aid, no driver’s license, no insurance, and no registration. ...read more read less
