INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Center for Leadership Development is now accepting registrations for its spring programs, which aim to empower minority youth through values-based education and personal development.
For over 40 years, the Center for Leadership Development has been dedi
cated to transforming the lives of minority youth by preparing them for academic, career, and life success. The organization offers a range of programs designed to help young people realize their potential and develop essential skills.
“Through the support of our community, our city offers young people some of the most outstanding youth development experiences you can find anywhere in the country,” Dennis Bland, president of the Center for Leadership Development, said.
The Center’s programs cater to various interests and age groups, including Project Mister, which focuses on male responsibility, and Precious Miss, aimed at helping young women develop self-concept and potential.
Success Prep prepares rising ninth graders for high school, while the Imani Book Club emphasizes literacy.
Dennis Bland emphasized the importance of affirming the dignity and humanity of young people, stating that the first order of business is not the programming itself, but recognizing the value of each individual’s life.
This approach is integral to the Center’s mission to partner with youth in realizing their potential. The Center’s values-based program model is built on five pillars: character development, educational excellence, leadership effectiveness, community service, and career achievement.
These pillars are designed to drive holistic success and help participants thrive.
With a focus on values and literacy, the Center for Leadership Development continues to provide essential resources and support to minority youth, fostering a community of growth and achievement.
Registration for the spring programs is currently open, offering opportunities for young people to engage in meaningful development experiences.
