MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) - Crews were called to Circle Drive in Monson for a house fire Thursday afternoon.

The Monson Fire Department states that fire crews were sent to 18 Circle Drive on Thursday afternoon for a reported building fi
re. When crews started to put out the flames, they were forced out of the home by a compromised floor.
The Palmer Fire Department, Hampden Fire Department, Brimfield Fire Department, and Wales Fire Department were called to help put out the fire.

Crews moved to the back of the home and went in through the basement using the bulkhead. The fire spread up the outside wall and spread to the second floor. Deteriorating conditions caused crews to exit the home for a brief period. Once the fire was under control, they could resume in putting out the flames.
No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. There is no word on the cause of the fire.
