HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- A 25-year-old man has died after police said he was shot in Hopewell Saturday evening. Police said the victim was identified as Tijuan Lamar Phillips, 25, of Hopewell. He reportedly died due to his injuries on March 13. At 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, Hopewell Telecommunic ations received a report that a "male subject" -- later identified as Phillips -- had arrived at a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Officials said he was later airlifted to another hospital for further treatment. According to police, officers found the crime scene at the intersection of Winston Churchill Drive and East Randolph Road, where multiple “spent cartridge casings” were reportedly found.
