MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Four teens are now behind bars after they were accused of stealing a man's car in Parkway Village on Wednesday and then leading police on a chase before crashing.
Officers say they were called to a robbery with a vehicle taken in the 2900 block of Clearbrook Street around 1:12
p.m.
The victims told police that it started when they were meeting up to purchase a car listed on Facebook Marketplace. When they arrived, four armed males allegedly forced them into an abandoned house before taking the victim’s keys and leaving in the victim's car.

That is when officers say they put out a broadcast on the vehicle.
Shortly afterwards, police said they saw the stolen vehicle on 385 near Ridgeway. However, when they tried to issue a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over, and a police chase was initiated.
The driver of the stolen vehicle lost control of the car in the 2800 block of Mendenhall, left the roadway, and hit a tree, police say.
The suspects then got out of the vehicle and tried to run away but were caught and taken into custody.
All four suspects were taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in non-critical condition as a precaution due to the crash.
