A Level 3 severe risk is in place until 6 PM this afternoon for the Kansas City Metro and to the east into Missouri. Strong to severe storms will form early to mid afternoon with dry lightning & damaging winds. The damaging wind threat continues east toward Central Missouri as rotation also begi ns to develop with an isolated tornado risk. Storms end by 6 PM with strong winds behind the storm and colder air for the weekend in the 50s.
