Man charged after December homicide on Monmouth Street in WinstonSalem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been charged after a person was killed at the end of 2024 in Winston-Salem.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, they have arrested Joshua Lebron Edmonds, 20, for the Dec. 29, 2024 homicide of Kobbie Jaheim Soini Wilson, then 23.
Police s
ay that Edmonds and Wilson had gotten into some kind of altercation in a parking lot on Monmouth Street, where the two were reportedly at a party. During this fight, where the two struggled over a firearm, "multiple guns" were allegedly fired.
Wilson died at the scene and Edmonds was taken to the hospital, seriously injured. Investigators later determined that Edmonds was the "aggressor" in the fight.
Edmonds was charged with:
felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
felony General Murder
He was taken into custody on Thursday and is being held with no bond allowed.
