BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Snowy weather brought unique challenges for firefighters who eventually gained control of a fire at the Tehachapi Municipal Airport on Thursday. A fire broke out at Tehachapi Municipal Airport Thursday afternoon in an airplane hangar. The Kern County Fire Department was dispatched at 1:07 p.m. The cause of the fire is unknown. ‘Burns like gasoline’: 4th warehouse full of plastic burns in complex with history of fires Fuel leaked out in the hangar and pressurized cannisters intensified the fire. Due to the snow and poor weather conditions, the visibility of the fire was poor, officials said in a statement. Firefighters were able to contain and put out the fire. No injuries were reported.
