SPEARFISH, S.D. (KELO) -- The Class 'A' semifinals are set for girls basketball following quarterfinal action on Thursday. Top-seed Sioux Falls Christian raced past Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 58-39. Avery Reitz led four Chargers in double figures with 13 points. Hamlin knocked off Mobridge-Pollock 65-53. Addie Steffensen led the way for the Chargers with 19, followed by Addison Neuendorf with 18. Dakota Valley claimed a 65-57 win over Sioux Valley. Ella Otten scored a team-high 17 as four Panthers reached double figures. Mahpiya Luta remained undefeated with a 76-39 victory over Wagner. Ashlan Carlow-Blount tallied 29 points, 11 rebounds, seven steals and five assists. So, that sets up Sioux Falls Christian vs. Hamlin and Dakota Valley vs. Mahpiya Luta in the semifinals on Friday. ...read more read less
