CHARLOTTE, NC – Police say they found an illegal gambling operation while investigating a shooting in west Charlotte. The shooting happened in a parking lot on West Boulevard on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Medic took one person to Atrium CMC with life-threatening injuries. CMPD says the shooting vic tim ended up being the manger of an illegal arcade. Investigators say someone tried to rob the manager as they opened the business. CMPD’s ABC Unit got a search warrant for the business and says it seized 106 gaming stations, 3 payment redemption kiosks, and more than $12-thousand in cash.
